The materials below represent the coming together of NASA science and Navajo knowledge. The six activities in the Educator Guide were produced by the NASA Astrobiology Institute in collaboration with ArtReach International , and the Navajo Nation Division of Diné Education, Office of Culture, Language, and Community Service as part of the "NASA and the Navajo Nation" project (2005-2006). They are designed for use in informal education settings, but have also been successfully used in classrooms and contain references to relevant NM and AZ state education standards. They are for educational, non-commercial use only, and are freely downloadable and distributable for such purposes.
